This VCR/DVD recorder is perfect for my needs. It plays and records on VHS and DVD cassettes. It also transfers videos to DVDs, a longer-lived format. It's pretty easy to learn how to use. You can split the DVD into different chapters, but I couldn't skip to the next chapters during playback unless I split them into different titles. All in all the machine worked fine for a year so I had it. I'm currently using it to transfer the last of my VHS tapes. Worth buying.
