. My 2010 Pinarello FP2 came standard with a Most crankset and 50-34 chainring. Based on my cycling experience, I found that the 50T chainring often made me change gears while I could never use the smaller cassette cogs. With the 46 sprocket, the cross chain is reduced to a minimum because I can mostly ride in the lower half. rear cassette, and even at 46-11 I can go about 30 mph at my normal cadence. The added benefit is also slightly quicker and smoother shifting from a smaller chainring to a larger chainring given the smaller diameter difference.
