The hooks came very quickly and seem quite smooth. The release of gas from plastic pipes takes a long time. I bought them right after Christmas, unboxed them and started streaming straight away so they've been streaming for a few weeks now. The outgassing is still quite strong. I started storing them a few days ago in a box that has vent holes drilled in them so they don't get dusty and lost when aired out. Outgassing is still clearly visible through the vented box. Their smell can be heard from where they are stored at the top all the way down. I put the dryer in the box tonight and I no longer smell exhaust fumes anywhere in the house. Trying to deal with the gassing smell with another thing, which is the proverbial gassing. Find out. *Sigh*. Okay, none of us are making it out of here alive, right? So I think I got a particularly smelly set. Hopefully this will be fixed soon as I plan to start a big project with them by February 1st. I gave 4 stars simply because the gas removal shouldn't take that long. The manufacturer should consider using a different plastic. I don't plan to return because I need them and they have a good rating from other users. But I wouldn't mind if the seller chose to send a second set, which they confirmed was less of a hassle than others say. you can dream Of course, if this miracle happened, I would write a whole new review. *twitched*
