Will not remove scratches

I tried this product to see if it really covered up scratches. I washed my car well and let it dry. I then used a scratch remover wipe to remove small scratches on the car's trim. I allowed the product to dry and then buffed the area with a clean, dry cloth. All scratches are visible.
