Installed in about 15 minutes with no problems. Fits perfectly. Worked great; raised and the lifting gate held perfectly. A few installation notes: I read a comment from another buyer who couldn't manually compress the shock and sent it back. You CANNOT compress them manually. I couldn't manually compress them either, but once installed they worked fine. It's also best to remove any of your old mounts by first removing the bottom "knuckle" mount, then it can be rotated slightly to remove the top screws. You need to push the tailgate up slightly while removing the old one. Also, only remove ONE at a time and use a broomstick (or similar) to support the overhead grille during replacement. For my particular model, there are left and right mounts marked "L" and "R". Each bracket has a tab that fits into a latch hole on the vehicle so you don't get confused, but it's worth noting when unpacking.
