I love quality counting cross stitch tools. I have several embroidery frames from Edmunds made in Germany. I don't have Hardwicke Manor tyres, although I would like to have them I just can't bring myself to pay that much. So when I compare this wonderful tire to Edmonds I give it 5 stars. I'm very impressed with the quality. They are made of beech, absolutely durable in construction. Brass fittings, honey. And the screw turns perfectly. The inner hoop fits fairly well and one of the two has a tiny gap after tightening, nothing to worry about. The finish isn't as smooth as my Edmunds. Edmunds has a more rounded edge, this one doesn't, but the edges are smooth. I bought these because of the elongated shape for the stitch area I need for a project I'm doing. I highly recommend it. Much better than the wooden hoops you find at fabric or craft stores. And the price is very good.
