Bought for a trip to Ireland. Initially we had problems with activating the SIM card. This is not the fault of this device. just something to consider. I bought a standard Tesco phone SIM card but I couldn't activate it without help from the support team as it wasn't used in my phone. I downloaded the Huawei Smart Home app to my phone in advance. You can receive SMS via this device in the app. Using my phone and the hotel's free WiFi, I was able to chat online with Tesco's support team and they texted a confirmation code to the device. The support team was then able to activate/top up the SIM card for me. After that the device worked great. There were four of us and we could all use WiFi at the same time. Battery life was good. Just make sure to use it on the trip you download and learn how to use the smart home app before you head out.
