The OEM handlebars on the 2012 26" Trek 3500 were too low for the current rider and the stock steering column does not allow vertical adjustment. The FOMTOR Stem Extension is a quality aftermarket bicycle accessory. It offers nearly four " vertical position along its aluminum tube. It includes six aluminum spacers paired in three sizes and a long titanium bolt to access the far star nut. in the steerer tube and matching cap. The FOMTOR stem extension attaches perfectly to the existing steerer tube with zero play .The titanium stem bolt is strong enough to secure the entire steerer tube with the correct torque and seems to withstand the dynamic stresses and strains of normal use (on others ie the headset is quiet) Stem extender, cap and spacers are powder coated black.I think i have bought the last one at Revain. Too bad - I need two more.
