I haven't used the mic input on this unit, but have used the output connection to a pair of Logitech speakers for a while. When I first used this device, it appeared in the device list with no problems. But I did notice that I seemed to have to turn the volume up a lot higher than when using speakers plugged directly into the laptop port. That would have been nice as the speakers were quite loud (only use for remote meetings). But every time someone speaks, there's a lot of interference when the person speaks. It eventually got so annoying that I stopped using that adapter and started plugging speakers directly into my laptop's port. The speakers sound good when connected to a laptop, so noise is definitely coming from this USB audio adapter.
