I ordered these in gold for my 10 year old son for his Halloween costume this year. I read the reviews that they run small so I ordered a size 12 for him. It works great having a small waist as my son is very tall (he is 5ft) but very skinny. As a rule, waist-hugging trousers are too short for him. They fit perfectly in waist and length. Maybe some other color he can wear and wear but as for gold he will just be lounging around the house which is great because they are very comfortable. I read some reviews that the lanyard worked and others that it doesn't work, the gold ones we received the lanyard doesn't work but that's ok because they fit him perfectly. I plan to order more.
