This is definitely an inexpensive way to clean threads and even repair damaged threads. This obviously depends on the amount of damage dealt, but if you work long enough you'll pretty much know when the threads are beyond repair. It certainly won't create new threads, but it will get the job done. It's not difficult to use at all. Matrices are easy to change. If you are new to this, I highly recommend purchasing a thread pitch gauge. You can't always deviate from what Google says. It is best to test them yourself so that you know 100% which thread pitch they have. If you don't need something for everyday use, I definitely recommend buying it.
