Review on 🚲 Allen Sports Premier 2-Bike Trunk Rack S102: Efficient, Secure, Black by Teo Alston

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I was very pleased. Driven 940 miles on day one

Installed it in a 2011 Kia Soul and drove 1350 miles from New York to South Florida. We were in and out of the rain about 40% of the trip. I checked the belts after the first 200 miles and they didn't need to be adjusted. I was very pleased. Drove 940 miles the first day, stayed in Georgia and had to tighten most of the seatbelts in the morning before setting off. Arrived in Florida, both bikes and trunk intact and straps held up well. I read a number of reviews and almost all of them had issues with clips and pads scratching or damaging the car's paintwork. We had no problems with this as I closed the clips on all straps with the fingertips of a rubber glove and secured with rubber bands. For the pads, I cleaned both surfaces (car and pad), then wrapped the pad with rags I had at home, cut them into squares, folded them in half and reattached them to the pads with rubber bands. See photo for reference. Overall I would give this bike mount an 8.5 out of 10. If the manufacturer had covered the clamps with rubber and provided a felt backing for the pads, I would give it a 10 out of 10.
