I've been using French cleats in woodworking for years - they're easy to make, easy to align and hold items very securely. Quite inventive that Hangman came up with the idea of using the same concept to mount a TV. I am very satisfied with this as well. This mount comes with an aluminum male and female profile, spirit level, and all the hardware you'll need, including a set of "Wall Dog" drywall screws. Installation is very simple - attach the male half of the mount to your TV with the included VESA screws, insert a spirit level into the inner half and screw to the wall, then hang your TV. Hangman claims no bolts are required - that the supplied dozen or so screws are enough for a £100 TV. Although this wall mount is UL listed (meaning tested and certified by a third party), I still find it very inconvenient, especially with young children. The brackets are 25 inches wide with bolt holes every 1 inch, meaning you'll need to cross two bolts on almost every installation. I drove 2" screws into the studs at those locations and used about 8 screws to tighten the rest of the wall half of the bracket. 2 screws alone were not enough. very simple - just place the TV against the wall, slide it down and make sure both halves of the bracket are perfectly aligned as no movement is allowed as advertised. The TV is VERY tight to the wall, about an inch or less from the wall at the top and flush at the bottom. Note that this will complicate cable routing depending on the orientation of your TV's inputs, so keep that in mind. In general I am very satisfied. It is very easy to install and looks great. The only problem is the cable management.
