This is normal. Heat resistance is a big plus. I can get in the oven or smoker, pull out the racks, or move objects and not even feel it. However, if you want to grab and hold something, you can forget about it. I've been trying to reach my smoker and move the wood chip and water containers, filling them and dropping them. These things are like butter when you try to do something like this. EVERYTHING is getting out of control. Now I need to buy a different kind of gloves so I can pick things up instead of dropping them on the floor.
