Simple plug and play!
I replaced the existing CD-DVD in my old DELL 530 because it started making noise. I deleted the original that shows up in Windows Device Manager. Calls to the computer proto to open the case followed, connections old to new were the same (simple). I deducted a star because the disc compartment could have been a little quieter when opening and closing. Read, write and play videos perfectly and without vibration.
