It really works!: Oven Filter

The material was pure white before I cut it and taped it to my oven/AC vents. I would put them in like my sister does at home; but I'm on loan and the screws and frame have been painted over so many times that I was concerned removing the vents would mess up the textured walls. The vents are creamy white and after a while I didn't even think they were on the vents. This is a picture of how black they turned on the bottom walls of the cold air recirculation vents after 3 months - I have severe environmental and animal allergies and in this building almost every room has a dog or cat. I was hoping these filters would help, along with installing and replacing my own higher quality HEPA/allergenic filters in the oven. The owners of this complex force our maintenance staff to only change the air conditioning/furnace filters in the units twice a year (these are the lowest quality 'special' filters you can get. I buy my own and change them every two Months - sometimes they lasted 3 months but they get as dirty as the air vent filters, although I still sneeze and my nose still runs, at least it's not as bad as before.

Pros
  • EFFICIENT AIR FILTER - Notice how small strands of hair get caught in polyester clothing. Electrostatic filter media works on the same principle, trapping dust and dirt in your home to make it easier for you to breathe. Thin polyester fabric allows for more airflow and is superior to gauze and gauze. The filter also prevents unwanted people from entering your home.
Cons
