Review on ☕️ Authentic Italian KAMIRA Moka Express: The Ideal Stovetop Espresso Maker for 1/2 Cups. A Perfect Gift! by Barbara Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great espresso on the stove!

I came across this coffee maker while looking for a new mocha pot. Anyone familiar with coffee from the traditional moka pot should only enjoy the coffee this thing produces in the more convenient and familiar "shota" form. ... and of course an almost ridiculous amount of cream comes out, which can be good or bad depending on your preference. It's perfect for the morning before work when I need to wake up a bit but don't want to take a full can. For a spontaneous purchase I am very satisfied. I can make great espresso without using a full espresso machine. Here is a brief assessment: Advantages: - Fast! The water heats up in about 1 minute and fires quickly. One and done! Comes with both single and double portafilters but I doubt single filters will ever be used. :)- Easy to clean. The maker is elegant in its simplicity. Just wipe or rinse and you're good to go. Lightweight and portable. It can be used almost anywhere there is a burner, such as. B. a hotel room or a friend's house. Most of the construction is stainless steel, but the valve/portafilter handles are plastic. The protective layer feels rubbery, as does the seal, of course. - Easy to use. There are instructions in English and Italian. The steps are quite simple and leave no room for error. In general: close the valve, fill with water, open the valve (allow water to flow into the boiler), close the valve, load the portafilter, put on the stove. When this is done, simply release the valve, slowly releasing the pressure. Cons: - Requires a little trial and error of grinding and pounding to get an extract in 30 seconds. This is probably typical of most espresso machines. The valve assembly is functional but feels a little flimsy. It's been working great so far, but I suspect if anything breaks it will be the valve handle. It is not a "set it and forget it" maker. this. Don't charge it and don't take a shower. He makes coffee quickly and should probably be watched closely. There is enough water in the water tank for a double shot. If you want an americano or something like that you have to put the kettle on. I don't think it will shoot Corto/Ristretto very well. If you don't mind the 12 ounce limit then you're fine. Expensive. You can get a perfectly nice aluminum moka pot for $20-30 and a stainless steel one for $50-60. As easy as it is, spending $100 is a bit out of my comfort zone. But I'm happy with it, so I can't complain too much. Conclusion: He doesn't do much, but what he does, he does very well. If you are looking for an alternative to standard hobs and want to have a nice chat at a dinner party, I would heartily recommend this.
