Kamira doesn't honor the 5 month warranty, so "5 years " is a joke!

If it works, it's good. However, after about 5 months the safety valve (pressure release) on it began to leak, preventing the pressure from building up enough to create a proper crema. About 7 months later I emailed Kamira and they asked me to make a video of the failure. I posted a closeup video of a leaking safety valve showing both steam and water escaping around the valve. The video clearly shows the leak and that the coffee jet is weak due to pressure leaks at the safety valve. I've even…

Great machine - makes coffee like in an Italian coffee bar

We were on a recent trip to Italy and a couple of our friends in Trieste and Brescia had this coffee maker. This is the only stove top coffee maker that actually brews espresso with a layer of foam, just like in an Italian coffee bar. We have an induction cooker at home and bought the model that works with induction. We've been making coffee for 2 weeks now and it's great, our old mocha coffee maker has been on the shelf since we got the Kamira. Coffee. Once you have a little practice it will…

The new heart of my espresso station.

My inexpensive semi-automatic espresso machine is now a bit too big. It lasted almost 3 years and gave me a decent cappuccino every morning back then so I was happy with that but I had to replace it and wanted something better this time. I paid $250 for the last one, which is pretty cheap for an espresso machine. I considered the almost $700 Rancilio Silvia or was crazy about the $1500 Rocket Apartamento. These are two very good machines, but it's a lot of money just to have a delicious…

Great espresso on the stove!

I came across this coffee maker while looking for a new mocha pot. Anyone familiar with coffee from the traditional moka pot should only enjoy the coffee this thing produces in the more convenient and familiar "shota" form. ... and of course an almost ridiculous amount of cream comes out, which can be good or bad depending on your preference. It's perfect for the morning before work when I need to wake up a bit but don't want to take a full can. For a spontaneous purchase I am very satisfied. I

It was worth it! We love our Kamira

I've been using this machine for a month now and I love it! UPDATE 4/19/17: We finally bought an induction hob. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0045QEPYM/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I can't tell you how much faster, easier and more stable the results are with my Camira! If you can pair your Camira with an induction hob, your coffee-making experience will change tenfold! I will say that this is not a beginner moka/espresso maker. You need to know your grind, your roast, your timing…
