I bought two of these and flashed them for use on the Amateur Emergency Data Network (AREDN). They work perfectly. Very reliable and consumes a minimum of energy. During vacation I used my Windows 8.1 tablet to do some tasks. Windows wanted to install some critical updates, so when the job was done, I cleared the update to proceed. After the updates were complete, I got a big red X on the WiFi network icon in the taskbar. The update destroyed the drivers for Broadcom's built-in bgn wireless interface. To fix this I ordered another wireless router from Revain and received it in about 15 hours. I put my windows tablet in airplane mode, connected the micro-router to the tablet with an OTG cable, set it up using the web configuration tool after the drivers were installed in the micro-router's flash drive part, and bingo - I was back on the internet again ! I then went to the tablet manufacturer's support site, downloaded the entire driver package, unzipped it and reinstalled the Broadcom drivers, uninstalled the micro router from the tablet, and then rebooted the tablet. The internal WLAN interface works 100% again! I will always carry this micro router and OTG cable with me in the future. What a great recovery tool.
