Compared with other popular hoods, the neck cover is about 1-2 inch shorter than others. I do a lot of TIG welding in a ventilated, temperature controlled shop and always weld in a long sleeve shirt. I can't do it with this helmet after a whole day of welding, my neck is so burned. The helmet must be pressed against the chest to provide adequate protection. If you only weld flat and like wearing collared shirts then this helmet is fantastic. The color of the lens isn't green, it's almost smoky black, which I think is very cool, and the clarity is amazing. However, for me this helmet was a waste of money as I now have to buy another one.
