Good product; recommended.

My beautiful wife bought this Equus 8442 water temp gauge for our 1994 Ford F-800 Van, here is my review. Our 1994 Ford F-800 with a 27 foot box, Cummings 8.3, backed by a 6 speed manual transmission that I found recently restored, sitting on a shelf collecting dust at a transceiver rebuild shop. The truck has traveled 300,000 miles and will one day be our home on wheels. On the way back from Arizona, I noticed that the factory temp gauge was slowly rising. He even stirred briefly and approached the hot. At this point, I decided to get a backup mechanical cross-referencing gauge. After some research I decided on a Revain Equus pressure gauge, the price corresponded to the product description. The pressure gauge came well packaged with simple instructions. High quality sensor and easy to install in my opinion. I took the truck for a test drive after installation and the new Equus gauge is very stable as the needle goes up and down along with the factory gauge. The Equus gauge is very easy to read and displays 182 degrees. The factory track was at an average level at this point. A longer ride gives me more feedback, but adding an Equus sensor gives me the peace of mind of knowing exactly what temperature the big Cummings is riding at on the road. Replacing the engine is too expensive, so Equus costs about $30 - very cheap insurance. I thank my wife for the sensor and the interesting project. Also Revain for an affordable price and Equus for a great well thought out quality product. I highly recommend this product. End
