I love these 20 x 20 100% pure cotton food grade cotton gauze for straining in the kitchen. These four packets of gauze are very well made, all the edges are sewn nicely and they look like a very large, very thin piece of tissue paper when you first unravel them. They are slightly tan in color because they are not bleached, so they are not perfectly white like most bleached fabrics. The instructions weren't really many so they don't say how to care for them or how to clean them but they do say they might have a few black spots because they've been newly bleached and if you don't like it you can boil it around trying to get them out of there, but I've had no problems with mine. They have been packaged in a vacuum plastic bag to keep them clean and fresh. I used mine specifically for making herbal infused oils and it worked beautifully. However, they are prone to staining, and especially if you use plant-based material, the color of the product will change after you use it for the first time. That being said, it doesn't matter what color my gauze is when I'm done with it, as I'll probably use it for this later. I plan to just run it through the washing machine with other clothes to get them clean and ready for the next use. It worked beautifully and I'm so glad to have them in addition to all my kitchen essentials!
