My original Onan carb had a clogged main jet or passage that I couldn't clean with carb cleaner so I went with this aftermarket solution as it was about 20% of the cost was a new replacement Cummins carburetor. This device doesn't have a built in filter and I wasn't impressed with the device that came with it, so I spent a few bucks more and got a clean Wix filter that I trust. Make sure you cut the line in the right place to allow the filter to fit under the airbox. The engine compartment is closed to allow the plastic filters to retain heat (do not design the filter so that it touches the ground). The only installation difficulty I had was getting the auto choke and spring hooked up properly after I mounted the carburetor onto the mounting studs. Take your time and lose that little plastic bushing inside the motor and you'll save yourself some heartache, unlike me. I will restore my original carburetor and use it next time. Remember to start the engine regularly. So far I'm happy with the purchase and I think it's good value for money.
