Haven't ridden a bike on this rack yet (next week) but put it together today. I was impressed by how easy it was to put together and how beautifully designed it was. I assembled it right on the hitch which made it very easy and I would recommend this method to anyone. When the time comes, the wheelbase and frame clamp can be easily adjusted to the bike. It's also worth mentioning that the bike cover I bought is carrier compatible to protect it from inclement weather when traveling. By the way, I only ride one bike and it's very easy to set it up for just one bike. It won't be difficult to add gear for a second bike if needed. The good thing is that the trunk can be tilted which allows access to the back doors of my van even with the bike mounted. The side wheel supports also fold down when not in use. In this position they remain safe for transport. One of the reasons I chose this carrier is because I'm carrying an e-bike, which is significantly heavier than my mountain bike. It's strong enough for the extra weight.
