Excellent starter kit for the money. I bought this to replace a tool box that was stolen from my garage. The first thing that struck me was the quality of the case blow molding. They definitely excelled in that department. I usually throw blow boxes in the trash so I don't lose my tools, but this one is worth keeping. It is durable with strong hinges and latches. It also holds the tools in place, which is unusual for blow boxes. I only have two annoyances with this set that are minor. Ratchets are a bit clunky and unusually heavy. This can cause problems when working in places with limited free space. Given that the weak point of most ratchets is the ratchet itself, I see no need or practicality to add additional material to the handles. Second, there are no 12-pin sockets. If you've never done a cramped car repair with a pry bar, you're in for a rude awakening if you don't have 12-point heads handy. This is because a pry bar and 6 point head require at least 30 degrees of play to rotate the shank and seat the head on the nut, while a 12 point head requires only 15 degrees of play . That being said, this is a great kit for general home maintenance, but you can also purchase an extra set of 12-pin sockets for car work as well.
