Okay I've only been working on BMWs since 1987 so I've seen a few. My wife has an 07 525i and of course the plastic fitting broke off. A factory BMW hose with fitting is much more expensive and unlike this aluminum fitting will fail again and again. I rarely recommend aftermarket parts, especially for BMWs, but this is an exception. This aluminum fitting prevents it from breaking again and the part fits and works perfectly. Simply remove the two 10mm bolts and pull the remaining parts out of the headgasket area. Use the removal of the original clamp and reinstallation with a new clamp. If you've never done this before, don't worry, it's easy and probably won't take you more than 45 minutes. Note. Otherwise the new part will not fit and most likely the plastic parts will get stuck in the thermostat and water pump. So, for the price and quality I think this part is amazing! Hope this helps and thanks. Oh yeah, now we're going to take care of those pesky oil leaks too!
