My guide dog is 62 pounds and 21 inches tall. She can stand up in this cage, turn around and there is more than enough space. She grew up in a padded cage, so she's used to something that doesn't have the strength of a metal box and jumping around in it like a nutcase. This is perfect for what I need when traveling and want a safe place for them without being tied to the furniture. When closed, the girth is the length of my forearm from the tip of my middle finger to my elbow. Absolutely perfect! Well for those who are giving these pop up boxes a bad review it is either because their dogs are not used to being in a cage or of course not used to soft cages if you have a crazy dog put in a soft cage, she will be destroyed. This is for well behaved dogs who know this is their place and this is not an escape game. Please consider your dog's temperament before buying and give for the wrong reasons a bad rating. This is unfair to the manufacturer and misleads us consumers.
