Bought to try on my Home Patrol 2, reception on the HP2 is terrible with the antenna supplied. After assembly, I attached 50 feet of cable and installed the antenna on the deck. I got instant hits from stations I knew were there because I could pick them up with my twenty year old radio shop scanner. This antenna makes the hp2 worth keeping in my scanner/radio lineup. I ordered an MR 642 radial kit to add to this antenna and can't wait to hook up other radios and practice this antenna.
