They're great for watching TV and movies when you have no other options. I used them to stream HD to my TV above my fireplace. That's the central fireplace, and there was no other way to get a signal. I researched all of this and even bought a 50ft HDMI fiber optic cable. But the difficulties in laying the cable amazed even professionals. You MUST be in line of sight to avoid jitter and signal loss. Not for FPS games. There is some lag and I've tried. However, I pass the signal through the video receiver, but it's a pass-through. Your results are different. Also, I had to set my voice sync to almost 150ms. It's a lot and noticeable if you don't. All that said in that ring, if you only use it for video programming like I do and you know how to set up audio sync, then this is the best of the products I've researched. Not 60Hz, but I don't see any artifacts even in heavy scenes. The colors are strong and the picture looks great.
