Review on Stay Safe and Make a Splash with the Full Throttle Child Water Buddies Life Vest by Kevin Elliott

Type 3 lifejackets DO NOT hold the child face up!

This review is intended to help potential buyers of this lifejacket. This is a Type 3 lifejacket designed only for SWIMMING the child, NOT for keeping them on their back and face up! All the critical reviews I read before ordering this life jacket were concerned that it wasn't holding her baby face up. BUT that's NOT what it's designed for. This requires a type 1 or type 2 life jacket, which is also sold by this manufacturer. This was clearly explained in the documentation that came with the vest, but may not be obvious to those not used to the different classes of vests. Like the Type 3 vest, this item is well constructed and provides enough buoyancy for my grandson, but cannot be used without an adult present should the child require assistance. Hope this is helpful.
