Gave it to the kids for Christmas and they love it. It has withstood the abuse from my kids and hasn't broken even a bit. The ball is cheap, but I taught my eldest how to kick it, so I don't bother. My eldest (8) has no problem removing the tire when he has to open the bedroom door all the way. I say as a warning that we have hollow doors and it's LOUD when they dive in, but at least I know the sound is the tires and not the kids destroying my house so I'm better off ignoring it. . If it really bothers you, you could probably put double-sided mounting tape between the door and the tire to keep it from hitting the door.
