I work with glass and I know that borosilicate glass is the best glass for high temperature cooking and many other uses. Pyrex used to be made out of borosilicate but I'm told the company changed hands and they don't use it anymore, they use poor quality glass and that's why people say it broke. and smooth edges. The pieces fit together perfectly and the lid can be used for cooking or serving. I like the depth of the bottom so you can put a lot of food in without worrying about spilling as all the juices are released during cooking. The handles are a good size and comfortable. I like the raised dots on the bottom to make cooking easier. The bread bakes wonderfully in it. Easy to clean. I got worried after reading the review about the glitch. I can't imagine how that will happen. It is very well packed with multiple layers of material and then wrapped with thick heavy duty bubble wrap instead of thin foil. The heavy cardboard holds it securely with no slack. As you can see, I am enthusiastic and can only recommend it. Hope to buy a few more. I'm so glad I found this brand. Unfortunately, Pyrex and other brands have gone down in quality.
