I've been making custom exhaust pipes and tailpipes for over 10 years ie tailpipes, tailpipes etc must always have an outside diameter as every muffler I've ever fitted, including Flowmasters, is measured and manufactured with neck gauges on the inside diameter, which allows the exhaust pipes to slide into the muffler. I have no idea why an exhaust company would make them in ID as that forces you to have an unnecessary bushing between the muffler outlet and the downpipe. They look high quality but I will probably send them back.
