Easy to assemble, simple and straight-forward (tip: remove the caps on the short bent tubes on the foot-pieces). Everything needed is included. Comes with a nice carry/storage bag for the stand - that is a nice bonus! The hammock itself is very comfortable and soft - I have not lain in it for very long yet, so I am not certain of the color-fastness of the dye in the fabric - wouldn't hurt to check that before laying in this in your white linen summer suit! It crossed my mind to maybe run it through the washing machine (inside of a garment/lingerie bag to keep the lines from getting all tangled) - but I have not yet done that and may not.will see.The frame is plenty strong. For the record, I'm 5'11' and 250 lbs - once the hammock was strung between the uprights and the sag adjusted (you will want it to be taught, essentially in a straight line between the uprights), I was suspended at a nice height above the bottom support and the ground. The cotton fabric hammock and cord will stretch somewhat, so it took me 3 instances of getting the hammock hooks in place, laying in the hammock a bit to let it strech, moving the hammock hooks lower, laying in the hammock, etc. until I finished at the 4th hole down from the "U" shaped uprights on each end. This is normal. Great hammock, great hammock stand - I am super excited to be able to use it just about anywhere in my yard when the warm weather returns to Wisconsin.The hammock itself has its own carry bag & also is packaged with 2 nylon-webbing tree-safe straps with carabiners. You won't need the extra straps and carabiners for setup on the stand, but you will if you want to use the hammock suspended from trees.All in all, this is a fantastic hammock and hammock stand - I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with this product - it is wonderful!
