When I bought my 2015 FORD 150 XLT I had no intention of towing so I have standard mirrors. But life just so happens that I just bought a 23ft camper trailer and now I need large towing mirrors which when purchased through FORD accessories are a very expensive aftermarket upgrade. When I found them and read the reviews I knew I couldn't go wrong. I was right. They fit perfectly. To be honest they aren't a permanent solution or as strong as the factory tow mirrors, but now you can definitely see what's behind the trailer when towing. They do not help with securing and parking. At least for me. I use my reg. mirror and a spotter for it. These mirrors are a "sleeve" that slips over your existing mirrors and then there is a plastic wedge that slides between your factory mirrors and this shell. You then tighten a large 3/8" (maybe 1/2") plastic thumbscrew to tighten the housing against the factory mirror. I've had them for about a month now, I keep them in my trailer and when I go into town I just load them onto my truck and it takes about 2 minutes. A very inexpensive solution to having mirrors in tow and saving a few hundred euros.
