I really wanted to like this popper and hoped it was a good and reliable car. First, "lid" is not for storage. You just put it on top and hope it stays there. Second, the bowl is not durable. It flexes if you hold it just a little tight. And the measuring cap doesn't hold up well at all. Third, as you stir, the popcorn moves down the stick toward the end and edges of the bowl. The oil coating the popcorn drips off the popcorn into a depression (gutter) where the bowl sits, forming puddles. Oil also drips into the space between the heating element and the plastic side. It's a pain to try and clean up. The popper pops the corn well, but all other downsides outweigh the cotton part.
