Conclusions: Pandemic makes everything new look exciting

If my well-worn/very popular Polder temp sensor finally broke, this purchase still wouldn't be a smart one. Maybe justified, but not smart. Yes, the Yummly thermometer is accurate. .Yes, that's all I have. I hate to say it, but it's a really expensive fix to a problem no one else has. I thought it would be nice to have all the time presets on board. Of course, thanks to the internet, all this information is already on my phone. Is free. And your phone won't leave an annoying bullet hole in your filet mignon. What you're actually buying is a ridiculously cumbersome app that tries to be your best friend, pet and walk your dog while making your skin look younger in seconds. 7 days. Recipes, menus, shopping lists, individual ingredient preferences, food allergies, veganism, keto, etc. Even skipping most of it, the startup's survey took 15 minutes. I'm not saying big data is Yummly's real cash cow, but I'm not sure if they are thermometers. There are many great wireless temperature sensors out there. For half the price of this beast you can get a really good ThermoPro, Inkbird or Soraken. A NOTICE. Choosing the best thermometer depends on how you cook! If you like to roast/smoke, range and accuracy at lower temperatures are key. Do a little research before investing big bucks in any of these things. So Yummi makes his way to the Box of Shame alongside Kitchen Claws, a Strawberry Knife and 8 different attempts to find the perfect poaching gadget. I'm writing it off as a year of boredom and isolation because otherwise I'd have to admit I'm an idiot.
