We're not regular corn eaters, but when we do the only problem is peeling the corn and not wasting much of it, which is what most strippers do, or if you use a knife for that purpose. It is a good and practical tool for corn cleaning. It works with both raw and cooked corn. It may take a little time to figure out how to grip properly. After that, it's really easy to use. The steel body makes it easy to clean and will not rust.
