I bought this product to replace what I thought was a cheap hardware store thermometer I had. It turned out that my previous thermometer was much better. This product worked exactly once before the sensor broke and stopped measuring the temperature. Other issues: 1. The magnets are weak and won't hold the device on the surface.2. You can only see temperature or time; not both. Not only that, the switch to change the view is tiny and is located on the back of the device.3. The device lies flat on the surface on which you place it. Not very helpful when I put it on my grill's end table and have to hover over the unit and look straight down to see what the temp is. The temperature presets are too high. In addition, the touchscreen buttons are cumbersome to use, and manually lowering the temperature is inconvenient every time. The probe is too long and too heavy. It might have been useful if I cooked a whole pig, but for general use it's pretty annoying.
