Review on πŸ”’ Stant 10848 Fuel Cap, Black - Superior Quality and Secure Fit for Your Vehicle by John Goerge

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fur. It is enough. Maybe.

Working. It's far from a perfect fit, but at least the stupid "Check Engine" light isn't on anymore. At first the lid of the stant was so tight that I could only get it off with pliers. Not so convenient when you're at a rest stop in Murdo, South Dakota and it's 12F outside! But after using the new Stant cap for a while I can finally put it on and take it off with my fingers. I wish the new Stant cap was a direct replacement, but it isn't. Annoyingly, it doesn't have a loop like an old hat to attach it to the car. I've tried (accidentally) to push the new cap onto the trunk lid. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I forget to put the cap back on after refueling and lose the cap somewhere on I-90. I bought a cover for my 2004 Saab 9-3.

Pros
  • Original replacement fuel cap
Cons
  • Quality
