Not for 9-3 for gas cap

This cover will NOT fit the 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible. It's so tight I had a very hard time getting it off and the check engine light wouldn't go off.

Pros
  • A new gas cap can pay for itself in less than three months.
Cons
  • OK

Usually screwed, but not created.

It bolts on well, but it didn't create the vacuum needed in my car to turn off the 'gas tank' indicator. Had to buy one from AutoZone that worked.

Pros
  • OE quality construction and materials
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Fits perfectly on my 2006 Saab 9-3

Fits perfectly on my 2006 Saab 9-3 but requires considerably more force to unscrew than OEM coverage. Therefore only 4 stars. This is the second replacement cap I have ordered. I lost the first one after leaving the gas station without screwing the cap back on, so I decided to attach it to the Saab like an OEM gas cap. I drilled a hole in the grip and attached it to the outer metal tank cap with a couple of zip ties. Presto, no more lost caps.

Pros
  • Replacing an old, leaking or missing gas cap can save up to a gallon of gas every 15 days
Cons
  • Gotchas

Fur. It is enough. Maybe.

Working. It's far from a perfect fit, but at least the stupid "Check Engine" light isn't on anymore. At first the lid of the stant was so tight that I could only get it off with pliers. Not so convenient when you're at a rest stop in Murdo, South Dakota and it's 12F outside! But after using the new Stant cap for a while I can finally put it on and take it off with my fingers. I wish the new Stant cap was a direct replacement, but it isn't. Annoyingly, it doesn't have a loop like an old hat to…

Pros
  • Original replacement fuel cap
Cons
  • Quality
