Filter life depends on your water
My well water is so hard you can't shower and after showering you feel like your skin is flaky. I had several water softeners but they kept breaking and I woke up swollen from the salt in the water. This filter only lasts me 1 month and I follow a slower flow of water. However, it's worth the cost for the quality of the water for the month, the showers I take, and how clean I feel after showering. Also, I know my pipes and water heater are not painted. Until I find a better solution, I'm very happy with the results of this filter.
