Review on πŸ§ƒ 85oz Glass Pitcher: Stainless Steel Lid, Hot/Cold Water, Juice, Coffee, Tea - Safe Borosilicate Jug by Jesus Gallagher

Easy for arthritic hands

My old thick walled rectangular glass jug was large and comfortable and I liked the silicone lid (even though it was varnished) BUT at 45 and frail I also understand that this heavy jug is heavy and bulky demanding Tribute from my wrists. I used it every day for my ice tea, which I brew often, and I've been concerned about repeated injuries. I'm so glad I got this new glass jug. It's the perfect size for two tea bags for the whole family. It's so light and yet holds a lot that I don't have to make more batches throughout the day. I like the lid too. It is made of stainless steel and is easy to clean. If you wet the silicone ring with water before putting it on, it will fall off immediately and provide a good seal. I usually take the lid off completely when pouring because I'm impatient, but when you pour with the lid closed the flow rate is much more controlled. Plastic and just flop on the counter. I usually have a cutting board nearby to put it on, especially when pouring hot water for tea. I really think the thickness of the glass is the perfect balance between lightness and strength. It is very easy to clean as the spout is very large and you can easily reach it to wash it from the inside. It's a handle that I can easily slide through with my gloved hand and, supporting the bottom with my other hand, maneuver into the fridge even when it's full to the top. I'm so happy it's a lot more fun and now my wrists don't hurt and I can enjoy my knitting. more than satisfied with this product and if I break it tomorrow I will immediately buy another one.
