Review on Optimized Kids Mermaid Monofin Swim Fin by FINIS by Rusty Calcara

I bought this for my daughter. As other users have stated, it doesn't stay enabled; two kicks with a dolphin kick and he immediately slips off! My daughter is a great swimmer but so frustrated that she can't swim like a mermaid anymore because this monofin won't hold up. I haven't tried water shoes on her to see if that helps (as other users have recommended). In my opinion I don't need to buy water shoes for this product to work. It's pretty but not useful. Also, the fin isn't as wide as the others, which I don't think would help going that far/fast (if you could get them to stay on their feet). I am very disappointed and if it wasn't too late I would like a refund. I wish I had bought it in the spring to sew a mermaid tail on her :(*** UPDATED REVIEW (1 star added) *** I ordered the fabric and made my daughter a mermaid tail to wear on her legs and this monofin. I sewed about 2" along the bottom of the fin portion of the tail (left and right sides) to hold the fin. The mermaid tail I made helps hold on to this monofin. Again, I'm not here happy with what other ways do i have to hold the fin, as other users have asked for flexibility i also wanted to add that the purple part is hard plastic but flexes a bit (enough to bend it into a mermaid tail, what I did).
