Optimized Kids Mermaid Monofin Swim Fin by FINIS Review

it doesn't work as you see it in your head, like a nice mermaid. you're more like a sunfish or a flounder. They are overpriced for what you get from them, I would never buy this again and wish I had bought others I've seen for less that are more slippery. They don't even work like normal fins and let you swim weirdly for a while until they fall off. sad 7 year old ALSO the case for this is certainly not worth what they are charging for it. cheap and thin.

My little mermaid used a different, stiffer monofin for a while. I ordered this one as it was compatible with a skin I had ordered elsewhere. That fin pierced that skin pretty quickly, even with the protector (but I think that's more of an issue with the fabric than the fin). BUT. I tried this mermaid story on my two daughters (6 and 8 years old) and her cousin (7 years old), NONE of them keep the fairy tale going . It was either too loose and slipped off immediately, or it was too tight for her feet. I think the reason they struggled was because their legs had to share a compartment.
