Review on Authentic Tappan 5303935066 Igniter OEM Part: Trustworthy Original Equipment Manufacturer Product by Chad Dahl

My old igniter glowed and got hot enough to ignite the gas valve but wasn't hot enough to ignite the gas quickly. This resulted in some loud pops as my oven preheated, and recently the oven stopped firing and just filled with gas. Not the safest situation in the world. Now that I've replaced the igniter with a new one, it fires instantly with little to no noise. I used this product instead of the Frigidaire igniter 316489403. I saved >$50 and the product works great. My old igniter only had one mounting tab on the side, so I had to bend one of the mounting tabs to fit the oven. A pair of pliers made this job easier. My only minor complaint was that one of the ceramic wire nuts had a piece of ceramic stuck in it preventing me from inserting a set of wires. I used a small pickaxe and was eventually able to pry it out without damaging the rest of the ceramic nut.
