Excellent webcam with environmental credentials

I've had this thing for almost two years so let me tell you about it. The video quality is excellent. The quality of the microphone is excellent, comparable and even better than previous headsets. I have, including the latest version of the fancy mic, which costs more than this webcam alone. It picks up sounds you don't want as it's a webcam mic, but the sound quality is excellent. Just try not to chew your chips too loud when skyping with your friends. So why should I only give four stars? Well, the cable is ridiculously short because it's advertised as a webcam for mobile devices like laptops. I use it on my desktop. If your computer isn't a monitor itself, you'll most likely need a USB extension cable if you're looking to buy this awesome webcam. Also keep in mind that it's marketed as a mobile webcam, which means its mount doesn't like being attached to large, thick screens. It fits well with my 1.5โ€ณ thick monitor but not my 2.5โ€ณ BBS (big nice screen). The webcam also tends to auto-focus, but if you have good lighting in yours this really shouldn't happen too often; Cable length is much more important. I use this baby almost every day and use it all the time when I have it. I usually use it with Skype for chatting or just use the mic to chat while playing games. Ideally, you want to use this webcam in an isolated environment with good lighting and minimal external noise. All in all, this is a fantastic webcam with a few downsides. I still don't know what the button does there.
