Review on GDAL by Mark Green

GDAL has many useful tools to process raster and vector data in GIS environment. I like best about this tool is that it can be used with other GIS applications like QGis or ArcMap. It also works well with non-GIS applications like Word or Excel. It is difficult to learn how to use all of its features at once. If you are new to open source software, then GDAL is not easy to use. You need to get familiar with each tool before using it. I am solving problems related to raster image processing. Using GDAL, I solve my problem very easily.
