It seems to have changed the design a bit. I have a 2016 Jeep Compass Sport SE (2.4L) and had to use a clamp or it would be very loose. Similar in size to the orange Mopar filter that was in my car. I was able to close the intake box with little conviction, but the car seemed slower when I drove it. I opened up the intake box and was about to cut the long ribs at the bottom with wire cutters, but with the help of pliers I snapped them just as easily. I also broke off a few pieces at the top of the intake manifold. This allows more airflow to reach the back of the box to keep the filter from suffocating. After putting it back on and riding it again, it seemed much better and more responsive.
