Review on Contour 2 0 Overnight Laptop Spinner by Tony Wylie

One step forward, two steps back

It's nice that Kensington has finally added casters, but they look cheap and definitely don't feel as durable as the two wheels on the previous model. The soft grip and dual-bar grip are nice additions, but the Kensington designers seemed to feel they couldn't add features without taking more away. The side pockets get in the way when trying to use them for water bottles, and the depth is about 2 inches less than the previous model. Part of the lack of depth is caused by changes to the pockets, where the main front pocket opens with a V gusset, rather than having a flat bottom to allow for more space. If you have a very thin 17 inch laptop this probably isn't a problem, but I take a medium sized 17 inch laptop in terms of thickness and it's very difficult to fit it in the case. while the previous model has more room and the foam has been zipped in place, allowing for more configuration. Some of the difficulty is caused by the single handle rather than the split handle of the previous model, but if they had kept the foam from the previous model it would have been a lot easier to slip the laptop into a bag. Like now I have to struggle to get it in and then fold the top back onto the laptop. As for the pockets, they redesigned them and removed some pockets. Less storage space, fewer pockets, less configuration and very poor build quality. Quality as far as the wheels are concerned. If that doesn't bother you, then the new handle and grip are a nice addition. Not for street fighters as the previous model's wheels are much better.
